Ne

Ne: Extraverted Intuition is characterized by the rapid, present-based exploration of abstract possibilities, phenomena, and ideas.

As an extraverted type, Ne looks outward and decides to explore the possibilities that pop in and out. Ne responds to the abstract concept that exists now rather than later. Even if a chain reaction leads Ne users to the past or the future, they tend not to settle on a point of singularity like Introverted Intuition (Ni) and Introverted Sensing (Si) types would. They are much like the Extraverted Sensing type, but in the abstract, surreal world. They see concepts for what they are and thus toy with several at a time, instead of analyzing and directing them like an Ni user would. This makes them highly adaptable in the realm of intuition, which translates into generally fast thinking and wit, with the ability to grasp concepts immediately.
